Characteristics: SkinMed® Aural HydroGel is a veterinary preparation in the form of gel intended for the treatment of external ear canal issues caused by an injury and of most acute and chronic ear inflammations. It can also be applied to an injured eardrum. The application is painless, the gel does not burn or irritate, it hydrates, reduces microbial load, reduces the possibility of secondary infection, and creates a humid environment, helping the body to develop its own healing process. It soothes the affected area, reduces pain and swelling. It promotes the dissolution of earwax. It reduces healing time. The gel consistency is optimal for application to the external ear canal. Non-allergenic, safe.
The product can be used for all target species except fish and amphibians.
Use: SkinMed® Aural HydroGel is a veterinary gel-based preparation for the treatment of external ear canal issues caused by an injury and in most acute and chronic ear inflammations. Antimicrobial effect.
Ingredients: SkinMed® Super Solution (97.16%), Carbomer, Triethanolamine
First aid measures:
Skin contact: not irritating, only individuals very sensitive to chlorine may develop mild irritation which will disappear shortly.
Eye contact: not irritating, in case of very sensitive individuals it may irritate eyes, flush with running water.
Ingestion: No measures are necessary if less than 1 dcl has been swallowed. In case of ingestion of large quantities, allow the animal to drink more water if possible and seek the advice of a veterinarian.
Instructions for use:
Apply the gel to the ear canal in sufficient quantity, gently massage the base of the ear canal for optimal distribution of the gel inside the ear canal. Repeat the application twice a day or several times a day if necessary. If necessary, a combination with other medicines specified by a veterinarian to treat the ear, including antibiotics, antifungals, and other products. Do not use in conjunction with topical ATBs (antibiotics) in collagen carriers. The topical effects of ATB may be reduced.
Handling and storage:
Long-term storage in original containers out of the reach of children in a cool and dark place, short-term (when in use) storage in up to 30 °C. A small amount of the product can be disposed of by dilution with water and flushing into the sewer. The preparation is a clear gel. Empty containers after rinsing with water can be disposed of together with municipal waste.
Warning:
Do not use if the animal is allergic to any of the contained substances.
Shelf life: 18 months
Store between 5 °C – 30 °C
