SkinMed® StomaGel HY
Hydrogel with hyaluronic acid for oral cavity treatment – with antimicrobial and regenerative effect

Characteristics: SkinMed® StomaGel HY is a veterinary gel formulation that promotes healing in the oral cavity. The application is painless, it does not burn or irritate. The gel hydrates the wound, reduces the microbial load of the wounds, reduces the possibility of secondary infection, and creates humid environment, helping the body to develop its own healing process. It helps stop bleeding, soothes the mucosal defect and reduces pain and swelling. Hyaluronic acid speeds up the healing process, eliminating scarring.
The gel consistency is optimal for application in all positions (it does not run down) and it adheres perfectly to the wound site. It reduces healing time. Non-allergenic, safe even if swallowed.
The product can be used for all target species except fish and amphibians.
Application: SkinMed® StomaGel HY is intended for the treatment of oral cavity and teeth problems caused by injuries, surgical procedures (damaged gums, tooth extraction, oronasal fistula treatment, etc.), after removal of tartar, burns and most acute and chronic inflammations.
Ingredients: SkinMed® Super Solution (94.96 %), Sodium Hyaluronate (1.44 %), Hydroxyethylcellulose, Preservative, Sodium Tetraborate
First aid measures:
Skin contact: not irritating, only individuals very sensitive to chlorine may develop mild irritation which will disappear shortly.
Eye contact: not irritating, very sensitive individuals should rinse irritated eyes with running water.
Ingestion: no measures are necessary if less than 1 dcl has been swallowed. In case of ingestion of large quantities, allow the animal to drink more water if possible and seek the advice of a veterinarian.
Instructions for use:
Clean the wound of any physical dirt. Rinse the wound for better healing effect with SkinMed® Great rinse solution. Then apply the gel directly to the defect so that it follows the wound edges in a sufficient layer. Apply 3-4 times a day until the wound heals. If necessary, combining with other medicines prescribed by a veterinarian is possible, including injecting antibiotics, NSAIDs and other preparations. Do not use in conjunction with topical ATBs (antibiotics) in collagen carriers. The topical effects of ATBs may be reduced.
Handling and storage:
Long-term storage in original containers out of the reach of children in a cool and dark place, short-term (when in use) storage up to 30 °C. A small amount of the product can be disposed of by dilution with water and flushing into the sewer. The preparation is a clear gel. Empty containers after rinsing with water can be disposed of with municipal waste.
Warning:
Do not use if the animal is allergic to any of the substances.
Shelf life: 18 months
Store between 5 °C – 30 °C
