SkinMed Ophtal
Eye wash solution.
Veterinary product containing blueberry extract formulated to rinse and clean itchy and irritated eyes and surrounding areas, including superficial wounds.
Properties: SkinMed® Ophtal is a superoxidized, pH-neutral solution containing blueberry extract. It is used to rinse itchy and irritated eyes and to cleanse the eye area of dirt and dust. It also helps reduce the impact of harmful microorganisms at the application site. It decreases instances of “dry eye”. The blueberry extract soothes irritated eyes, increases visual acuity and promotes collagen production in the eye. The product is safe for use in all types of animals. The application is painless and does not sting or irritate. It does not contain alcohol, steroids or antibiotics.
Use: SkinMed® Ophtal is applied to rinse the eye and surrounding area, including superficial wounds, or as a cleaning solution for the eye and surrounding area in the event of tearing. It helps reduce the impact of harmful microorganisms at the application site, – so it is also suitable for conjunctivitis or corneal inflammation.
Composition: 99% Superoxidized solution pH 7.2 (water, hypochlorous acid, sodium hypochlorite, chlorine dioxide, sodium chloride, hydrogen peroxide, ozone), 1% blueberry extract.
First aid instructions:
In the event of skin contact: not an irritant. Mild irritation may occur in individuals very sensitive to chlorine, but this will quickly subside.
In the event of eye contact: not an irritant. Flush eyes with running water if very sensitive individuals experience irritation.
In the event of ingestion: no precautions are necessary if less than 1 dcl of the product is ingested. It is advised to drink a glass of water.
Instructions for use: SkinMed® Ophtal is applied as an undiluted solution. Use as needed. Always apply 1-2 drops to each eye 3-4 times daily. For more thorough cleansing, moisten cotton or gauze with the solution and clean the affected area. The solution does not need to be rinsed. Greater volumes can be used for rinsing.
Handling and storage: Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. Store long-term in the original packaging out of the sight and reach of children, in a cool dark place. The maximum temperature for short-term storage (during use) is 30°C. Do not store in sunlight or near heat sources. Protect from freezing. A small amount of the product may be disposed of by diluting with water (1:10) and flushing into regular sewage. The product is a clear liquid with a slight odor of chlorine. Empty containers can be disposed of with municipal waste after rinsing with water. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical advice if you feel nauseous.
Warning: Do not use in the event of animal hypersensitivity to the product ingredients. This product is not a substitute for veterinary care and medicines recommended by a veterinarian. The product should not come into contact with acids (risk small amounts of chlorine gas could be released). Only for animals.
Shelf life: 12 months, use within 6 months after first opening the packaging.
Store at a temperature between 5°C – 30°C.
